The Italian Formula 1 catamaran driven by powerboat racer Sami Seliö has been renamed. The competition powerboat shall henceforth be known as Bella F1 in the Nordic countries.
"Bella-Veneet Oy supports Sami Seliö's F1 projects. Our joint objective is to win the world championship. We're co-operating in marketing, at a technical level, and in boat development work," says Managing Director Raimo Sonninen.
Co-operation between the parties will become more intense in the future. Among other projects, a civilian boat named after Sami Seliö is currently on the drawing boards.
"Co-operation with Raimo Sonninen and Bella-Veneet Oy has been instrumental in rapidly advancing my career. In the design of the new F1 boat I received technical help from the factory," Sami Seliö acknowledges.

The Finnish pilot took the silver medal in last season's Formula 1 world championship. Sami Seliö has also been chosen as the best powerboat racer in the Nordic countries.
